COMMITTEE REPORT – SEPTEMBER 2012
Finance (August 2012):

General:
• Update on the 4 priorities agreed to at the AGM.
o New Postboxes: Completed. If you haven’t collected the keys to your new postbox these can be obtained from Dominique Whitby at GAE’s office in San Blas. Contact details below.
o Finish Back Garden: Completed.
o Repair Complex: GAE’s lawyer has written to Gomasper advising them that we are looking to them to take some remedial action – initially an informal letter and then via Burofax. No response received to either letter. We are ascertaining the next step.
o Repair Swimming Pool: As advised in the Committee Report for August this is to be discussed at an EGM which is being arranged. Preferred option is more costly than that agreed at AGM. Date of EGM to be advised.
• Additional Waste Bin: Chasing of Ayuntamiento continues.
• Repair to Water Pumps: Waiting for confirmation from insurance company that they will contribute towards the cost of fixing the problems with the pumps supplying water to the community. Once received then the work will go ahead.
• Repair to Roadway: Commenced on Monday 3rd September. The committee apologises for any inconvenience and dust that this work will cause.
• Pure Water Dispenser: Machine now installed by office. Fresh, pure and cool water now available for owners and tenants at a cost of 10 cents per litre. Own container required. Explanatory leaflet posted in letter boxes.
• EGM: The proposed EGM, advised last month, is likely to be held early November. Date to be advised once confirmed.
• Adherence to Internal Rules: There have been a few instances of owners/tenants not adhering to our Internal Rules with such things as installation of satellite dishes and use of non standard balcony coverings. It is very important if we are to live in harmony, to abide by the agreed Internal Rules and obtain agreement to any external alterations/enhancements from the committee before being undertaken. If you are not sure whether something is allowed then please ask. Where owners have tenants, can you please remind your tenants of their obligations with regard to the Internal Rules. Copies can be obtained from the Administrator.

These are used to provide the latest information regarding the community as well as providing additional means of letting us have your comments or advise us of any concerns.
